Agriculture and Plant Science
The client is a plant science company engaged in research, production and marketing hybird seeds. With a farmer base of 2.3 Million and 474 team members educating and guiding them on improving farm productivity, the company was looking to take the operations of the field executives online. They were looking for a partner to design a PWA where the managers could schedule and review tasks & executives could view, carry out and submit their daily tasks. We initiated this project by understanding the needs and technology exposure of the executives on the field. We rapidly performed a strategic analysis of existing UX design. This helped to quickly freeze the new information architecture for a progressive web application solution by rethinking navigational patterns to provide all necessary information to the user at all times..
Keeping the non-techie user base in mind, we proposed use of distinct color themes and icons for clearly denoting task status and priority ticket type in one glance, simplified forms and interaction making the app extremely intuitive and easy to use. Introduction of calendar and dashboard for easy tracking of employees performance for managers. Low and high fidelity wireframes and prototype shared during weekly sprints with stakeholders to discuss the progress and iterations to incorporate new ideas and even new business goals.
